A giant, meaty Capsicum pubescens cultivar, originating from an accidental cross in Peter Stanley's garden.
The delicious flavour of this pod is complimented by it's relatively mild heat, making this a perfect snacking pepper, or one to stuff with cheese.
I made these into a wonderful hot sauce by roasting them with garlic.
The growth habit of this cultivar is extremely similar to that of other Capsicum pubescens examples. It forms a low, uniform canopy which spreads out horizontally before sending up vertical branches and repeating.
I have found this cultivar to be more resistant to growing in cooler weather.
