This pepper originates from Brazil, specifically the Minas Gerais region. The name means "little beak" in Portuguese.
The flavour on these peppers is great, with a citrusy zing combining with the punch of heat, it can be a little unexpected - the heat quickly fades, leaving you with a mellow burn that will put a big smile on your face. These are excellent pickled, eaten raw, or dehydrated. Personally I enjoyed snacking on these while working!
The growth habit on these is unusual for a chinense - opting for a taller main stem, but clustering with many pods per node. For a chinense this is a very unique structure, which leads to speculation as to the nature of the genetics involved.
