Developed by Khang Starr from Texas, USA, this pepper is a beautiful tasting, visually stunning pepper.
The plant grows in the typical chinense way; branching out and forming a flat canopy after the Y split. I found this particular variety to be comfortable in a 1l pot for the duration of its life, giving me plenty of pods, which I noted was quite unusual.
The pods have a fantastic bonnet shape with a hooked tail. In the community, there exists a small degree of variation between plants, as this cultivar is not highly stable.
The flavour of these pods is excellent, with a fruity scotch bonnet profile which quickly fades to a mellow bright tone, these pods are a delight to eat. The burn has quite a sting, but not enough to put me off going back for seconds!
