A surprisingly unsurprising C. baccatum accession with some great characteristics, you'll want to grow this if you need a good all-rounder!
In terms of growth characteristics, this cultivar is fairly typcial for a baccatum, but I would note that it is particularly productive, even when constrained in a small pot. Pods take the expected 60 days to ripen from flower pollination, but once they get going they remain productive throughout the season.
The pods taste very good. There is a good level of sweetness, and the heat doesn't punch particularly hard. This would be a good pepper to give to friends to try, if they are just getting started with spicy food. The flavour is fairly mild, with the essence of red bell pepper with a little hint of that baccatum fruitiness that just gives it the edge.
This cultivar gets its name from where it was discovered; the Amazon Rainforest.
