The Shepherd's Ramshorn is a c. Annuum cultivar, and pods grow to approximately 2 to 3 inches in length, and they have a distinct, spiral or helical shape, resembling the twisted horn of a ram. These peppers mature to a rich, deep red colour.
It is known for its moderately spicy kick with a nuanced taste that combines fruity sweetness and smoky undertones. The initial flavour is described as mildly sweet, reminiscent of sun-ripened red peppers, followed by a subtle smokiness that deepens the overall taste.
