Returning for 2023 is the Purple Flash! Seeds for these have been very kindly provided by seasoned pepper growers Reef and Matt (Dot86 Peppers). This cultivar of c. Annuum is a truly beautiful ornamental variety. I have grown it for 3 years in a row now, and it is almost stable enough to be called my own variant. Unlike the traditional Purple Flash with round ball shaped pods, this variant has a two-lobed structure. The leaves are decorated with light green, dark green, purple, pink and white splotches, which makes for a wonderful display. The pods ripen from a dark purple to red.
