A Capsicum Baccatum chilli originating from Brazil.
The plant favours a more compact structure and is very unique for a Baccatum, as there are tinges of anthocyanins (purple) around both the petals and the leaves. This plant is very ornamental and has been the absolute star of my garden in 2023.
Not only is it beautiful, but it is also very resistant to environmental pressure including heat, overwatering and pests.
The pods go through this awesome colour transition from purple, to white, to yellow, to orange, to red. It's hard to overstate just how phenomenal these plants look.
I do not have a single bad thing to say about this pepper. It is as delicious as they come. When the fruits are red, they have an amazing tropical flavour, are so sweet, not one hint of bitterness. If you close your eyes, you forget you are eating a pepper. This is my favourite tasting pepper from 2023 without one shadow of a doubt. It is simply a MUST grow.
