This is one of the creations of the pepper breeder Eric Knight, AKA Cire Thgink on Facebook. The seeds are an early generation cross so it is still unstable.
I received seeds for this one in 2021 from Patrick Wilson of Patrick's Pepper Patch after winning a Facebook giveaway. I contacted Eric on Facebook enquiring about the lineage of this particular cross, but I received no response.
The foliage is matte, dark purple, with variegation possible within the population.
The fruits are teardrop shaped, red ripening, and go very soft when ripe akin to a tomato.
The flavour is dark and smoky, but not bitter. It is quite watery.
The best uses of this pepper would be a sauce, due to its juiciness. It would probably not dehydrate particularly well due to its wateriness and thin walls. It's fine to eat raw.
Heat level around a jalapeno, but a bit of a stinging burn.
