Capsicum Lanceolatum

A wild Capsicum variety originating from Mexico. This one has a lovely shaped calyx, and the round berry-like pods are surprisingly fast to mature. The plant has a sprawling, branching habit, with elongated fuzzy leaves and stems. Seeds are quite difficult to germinate and requires a sterile medium such as coco coir or rockwool kept at 25-30c. They usually pop within a month but can take longer. For more detailed germination guides do not hesitate to get in touch with me! The pods are certainly more akin to berries, with a fleshy inside which tastes funky and certainly unlike domestic chillies. That said, it is not an unpleasant flavour.
