Aji Guyana

A beautiful, bright yellow c. Baccatum pepper. One of my favourites for the year despite the issues I had with growing my plant (totally my fault). First off, these peppers take a LONG time to ripen. Be prepared to wait 60 days from flower pollination to ripe pepper. It also has a ridiculous growth habit, about 7cm between nodes is common. It gets extremely tall and lanky and there is nothing you can do about it! But, the wait is definitely worth it! The flavour is a lovely sweet yellow bell type flavour with those familiar Baccatum notes in the background. The walls are crunchy and juicy, and this is all around a great pepper. I added this pepper to soup after roasting with garlic, and it was the best soup I have ever had!
